🎴 Ford Mondeo Cigarette Lighter Not Working
About $75 shipped. Amazing video night and day. I did have to mod the 12vdc lighter outlet to a switched outlet. Took about an hour to pull the console out, t-tap into a switched wire off the JBL head unit and re-install everything. I am not a smoker so a switched cig lighter was not an issue. Chef Duane

1. I remember something from my past. The brake lights are on a different circuit, that is why they still work. The tail lights are in some way connected in the cigarette lighter circuit. The lighter circuit may have been shorted blowing that fuse. Check that fuse and see if that could be your problem.

First of all, as you are going to handle electrical parts, make sure that the engine remains off. And then once you have found the fuse in your Ford Mondeo, take the pliers provided in the fuse box. Finally you will have to extract the fuse to remove it from the case. Check the fuse for wear as explained previously.

Cut a fuse in half, remove all plastic and solder the fuse holder wires on to the two halves of the fuse. Suitably sleeve solder joints. Remove cigarette lighter socket fuse from fuse box. Insert said fuse into inline fuse holder. One end of fuse holder into unused TCU fuseway, and other end into load side of cigarette lighter socket fuseway.
